Why do celebrities feel compelled to adopt black babies from Africa or these third world headline grabbing babies when there are plenty of eligible and distressed babies in America?

Doesn’t charity start at home?

What you said was true but sum friends of mine adopted a baby and she was from a different country and they had to wait like 2 years for her, but I don’t know why but american babies are harder to adopt then babies from foreign countries are. Not sure why but that is what I’ve heard

because they get more publicity from the press.
and there is nothing an actress or actor likes more that to be on the front page or news paper.
then again why do we buy puppies and kittens when there are so many pets looking for good homes?

It doesn’t matter where the child is from as long as where it is going it will be loved. You can say why from now until dooms day and truthfully the reason may lie in the fact of how things are done here in the US.
Most people realize that the older the child is the more problems that will tend to come with them. In other countries there are more infants or just younger children and no matter what anyone says most people are more likely to adopt younger verses older.
