DAAAAAH! asked:
If you really care about the sanctity of marriage then why don’t you get all preachy and pissed off whenever a couple of drunken idiots get married in Vegas and then get divorce as soon as they can? What about those celebrity marriages that barely last a month or two? Or are all those marriages just as “sacred” as everybody else’s?

Sanctity is holiness or pureness, which is only accomplished with sincerity of heart, with no slightest spot of selfish interest. Then, and only then, it may be said, that they are no more two, but one flesh. And what God has joined together, let no man put asunder. But those examples you refer to, are the results of insincerity. We cannot play both sides, therefore when it is only in the Lord, it is sincere, and nothing wavering.
